Our all-outdoors SEEDlings Summer Camp sessions offer a sampler of art, adventure, literacy, and more, all with a focus on nature.  Each day, campers will learn about a different nature topic and participate in related activities. In previous years, we’ve learned about ants and made an art farm, learned about bears and found a good home for a hibernating bear in the forest, learned about streams and made boats, and much more. Each week, campers will enjoy a campfire and have at least one adventure up into the forest above the school building. Of course, each day will also provide plenty of your child’s favorite: PLAY! Campers can “cook” in our mud kitchen, build with sticks and loose parts, and cool down in Greenbrier Creek with friends daily. If your child thrives outside, with plenty of creative, hands-on experience, this is her camp! Each year, SEEDlings offers something different than the previous year, although this year our two weeks of SEEDlings will offer the same programming. Campers are encouraged to sign up for one week only so as not to repeat programming. For different themes and hands-on activities, as well as different dates, consider signing up for a week at the original SEEDlings at the Price House Nature Center in Blacksburg as well. SEEDlings is appropriate for children who are fully self-toileting and are ready to benefit from a group experience. If you have questions please ask!  A healthy snack is provided for your child daily.
